There were only six '360 Systems Polyphonic Guitar Synthesizers' built. '360 Systems' was Bob Easton's brainchild. On the last menu item in the '360' section there is an interview with Bob from Synapse magazine. John McLaughlin's '360' was an earlier unit, mostly prototype. It used six Mini-Moogs, one for each string. Timo's was the last one built, it used six Oberheim synthesizer modules instead of the Mini-Moogs. All five of the previous '360's' used either the Moogs or Emu Systems Synthesizers. They were very problematic, and extremely hard to keep tuned, especially on the road. Timo's '360' cost $10,000 USD in 1976. That's the equivalent of almost $59,000 USD in September 2026. ($81,450 CDN)
